Butter Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup Sifted Confectioner's Sugar (powdered sugar)
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 tsp salt

Directions

Cream butter; add sugar gradually. Cream until fluffy. Add unbeaten egg and vanilla. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients. Blend into creamed mixture. Shape into 3/4-1" balls.

Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 min.
