SOFT MOLASSES COOKIES
Ingredients

1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 egg
1 cup molasses
4 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. soda
1 cup sour milk or coffee
Procedure

Cream shortening and sugar, add egg, molasses. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Drop by spoonful on greased
cookie sheet.
Temperature: 375°
Baking Time: 12 minutes.
