HOLIDAY APPLESAUCE CAKE
Ingredients

10 tbsp. margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. plus 2 tsp. maraschino cherry juice
1 1/2 cup applesauce
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cup all-purpose flour
Dash of salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped dates
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries
Procedure

Cream margarine and sugar together. Add two eggs. Beat well. Add
applesauce, then cherry juice and vanilla. Mix flour, cinnamon, cloves,
baking soda, raisins, dates and walnuts, salt and chopped maraschino
cherries. Fold in flour mixture to margarine mixture. Pour batter into
greased and floured 10" tube pan. Bake in preheated 350F degree oven for
55 min. or until pick inserted into cake comes out clean.
