Peanut Blossoms

Ingredients 1 3/4 cup sifted flour 1 tsp. baking soda 3 tsp. salt 1/2 cup shortening 1/2 cup peanut butter 1/2 cup brown sugar (firmly packed) 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 egg 2 tbsp. milk 1 tsp. vanilla Chocolate kisses 1/2 cup ground nuts Directions Sift flour, baking soda and salt. Cream shortening, peanut butter, 3 cup granulated sugar and the brownsugar. Stir in egg, milk and vanilla. Add flour mixture. Shape into balls about 1 in diameter and roll inground nuts. Flatten a bit and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 minutes. Remove from oven, put onechocolate kiss on each cookie and bake 2 minutes longer. Temperature: 375° Baking Time: 10 minutes. My Notes |
