APPLE CRISP


Ingredients

2 cups sliced apples
3/4 cups flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. water, or more if desired


Procedure

Wash, peel and core enough apples to fill two cups when sliced. Butter baking dish and put apples in it, adding the water and cinnamon. Use whatever type of baking dish you wish but make sure the mixture fills pan two-thirds full. Mix flour, butter and sugar, working them together (as for pie dough) until well blended and crumbly. Sprinkle this topping over the apples and bake in pre-heated oven uncovered. Crisp is done when. the apples are cooked through. Serve with whipped or pouring cream.

Temperature: 350°

Baking Time: 35 minutes.
