GINGER COOKIES


Ingredients

3/4 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
4 tbsp. molasses
2 tsp. baking soda
2 cups flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger


Procedure
*************
Beat egg, mix in shortening. Blend sugar and molasses and mix well. Stir in flour and dry ingredients. Form dough into ball and roll in granulated sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets.

*Optional: balls may be pressed down with fork.

Temperature: 300-325°

Baking Time: 12 minutes.
