HOLIDAY BUTTER COOKIES
Ingredients

2 cups flour 1 cup sugar 1 cup butter (2 cubes) softened 1 egg yolk 1 tsp. vanilla
Procedure

Mix flour sugar and butter with fingers or with pastry blender. Mix in the egg yolk and vanilla. Form into small balls and flatten in the
palm of hand. Dip tops in slightly beaten egg white and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press 1/2 candled cherry or pecan into
center. Bake about 20 minutes at 300° or until slightly browned.
Temperature: 300°
Baking Time: 20 minutes.
