JAM STICKS
Ingredients

1 1/2 cups sugar 1 cup butter or margarine 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 3 tsp. almond extract 2 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp. soda 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1 small jar jam
Procedure

Cream sugar and butter. Mix in eggs and flavorings. Stir together dry ingredients and mix into sugar and egg mixture. If dough is too
soft, refrigerate for about an hour. Divide dough into 16 equal pieces. Form each piece into a 6 x 1 inch rectangle on a lightly greased
cookie sheet. Press a pencil or rod along center of strip to form depression. Spread jam in depression. Bake about two minutes in a
375° oven. Drizzle with frosting and cut on the diagonal in 1 inch pieces.
Temperature: 375°
Baking Time: 2 minutes.
