Sweet-Sour Red Cabbage


1 md Onion; finely sliced
2 Apple, cooking; peeled & sliced
2 Tbsp Oil
1 Red cabbage; shredded
1 cup Orange juice, frozen
1/2 cup ;Water
1 Tbsp Lemon juice
3/4 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
Cloves, ground


Saute onion and apple in oil until just tender. Add cabbage, tossing lightly. Stir in orange juice, water, lemon juice, cinnamon and cloves; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 minutes or so until cabbage is tender, stirring occasionally. Spoon into a serving dish. Garnish with orange slices, if desired.
