• Cornbread In Honey Butter

Ingredients

1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 cup flour (omit salt if self-rising)
2 tbsp. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1/4 cup shortening
1 egg

Directions

Blend all ingredients, then beat for one minute. Pour into greased pan 8 inch square. Place in a 425° oven for20-25 minutes.

Temperature: 425°

Baking Time: 20-25 minutes.
