Broccoli with Green Herb Sauce


2 cloves garlic, peeled
1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves, packed
1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves, packed
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 large head broccoli, trimmed


Using a blender or a food processor fitted with a blade attachment, combine garlic, cilantro, parsley, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Process until sauce is smooth, set aside Wash broccoli, separate florets from stalks. Trim and peel stalks. Cut stalks into bite-sized pieces. Bring about 1-inch water to boil in deep medium saucepan fitted with a steamer basket. Place broccoli in steamer basket, cover and reduce heat to medium. Cook just until tender, about 4 minutes. Remove broccoli and place in serving bowl. Toss with sauce and serve warm.
