Broccoli Casserole (version 2)


2 10-oz packages chopped broccoli
1/2 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 can cream of brocolli soup
1/2 cup miracle whip or mayonnaise
1/4 cup plus 2 Tablespoons sour cream
1 small jar diced pimentos
1 small can of water chestnuts, finely diced
2 Tablespoons grated onion
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 egg
cracker crumbs/butter


Allow broccoli to thaw. Then, mix it with all the other ingredients except the cracker crumbs and butter. Put the broccoli mixture into a pan (we usually use a 13 inch by 9 inch). Melt a little bit of butter and mix with cracker crumbs (not sure how many--enough to completely cover the top of the casserole). Put the crumbs on the casserole, then bake for about 20 minutes in a 350 degree F oven.
