Apple Crisp (version 2)


2 cups sliced apples
3/4 cups flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. water, or more if desired


Wash, peel and core enough apples to fill two cups when sliced. Butter baking dish and put apples in it,adding the water and cinnamon. Use whatever type of baking dish you wish but make sure the mixture fillspan two-thirds full. Mix flour, butter and sugar, working them together (as for pie dough) until well blendedand crumbly. Sprinkle this topping over the apples and bake in pre-heated oven uncovered. Crisp is donewhen. the apples are cooked through. Serve with whipped or pouring cream.

Temperature: 350°

Baking Time: 35 minutes.
